June 12, 2026 marks the thirty-first anniversary of the Haitian National Police (PNH), a republican institution that has been facing, for some time now, one of the most critical periods in its history.
Today, on the occasion of this commemoration, the National Human Rights Defense Network (RNDDH) proposes to take stock of the situation of the police institution.
To do so, the organization reviews, among other things, the main institutional changes recorded within the PNH from June 2025 to June 2026, the general working conditions of its officers, the state of police infrastructure, and the human losses recorded within the ranks of the institution, as well as the attacks it endured over the period under review.
