RNDDH, in collaboration with the General Direction of the Haitian National Police (DGPNH), has been working to create a suitable human rights educational program to help the PNH break free from the past cycle of corruption in order to strengthen the force on respecting fundamental human rights.
RNDDH’s committee on human rights education for the PNH will hold strategic planning meetings with police leadership to facilitate the selection of the three departments to host the RNDDH seminars; the invitation/selection process to be used is developed according to the ratio of officers from the Administrative Police, the Haitian Prison Authorities (DAP) and from the specialized units within the PNH. The specific officers invited to participate will represent all of the districts within the geographic departments chosen.
