On the night of March 28 to 29, 2026, in the locality of Jean Denis, 1st communal section of Bas Coursin I, commune of Petite-Rivière de l’Artibonite, armed bandits operating within the Gran Grif gang based in Savien perpetrated a massacre of extreme savagery against the population.
